Customer photo review of Brass Strip: 0.032" Thick x 3/4" Wide x 12" Long (1 Piece)

I need some brass shim stock to use in a hideous, unnecessary miter slot on a Bosch aluminum router table. The aluminum miter that I purchased and modified to cover/fill the slot was .048" inches thinner that what I needed to I turned to K&S metals. Really bought more than what I needed but it all comes in handy. I glued the 0.016" to a 0.032", w/superglue, cut the resulting 0.048" x 12" strip into 4 (not necessarily equal pieces, put them into the miter slot and screwed the miter bar over the top. Everything worked out fine. See first attachment. I've also used your brass strips for tools that I made probably 10 or more years ago. At that time I entered them in a local woodworking show; won honorable mention. They look a little battered now because of use; they are very accurate and have worked well.

Used brass strip to build liners to replace aluminum stock liners in Swiss Army Knife. It takes awhile to fabricate with just hand files, but I got good result with the 3/32” thick brass strips. Assembled knife components from donor knife. Will attach custom scales and have a nice custom modified Swiss Army Knife. Been happy with product selection and fast shipping from K&S.

I am planning to use the brass strips as stem caps on a boat I am building. When I put them on the boat I will send pictures.

Super fast shipping. Got exactly what we ordered. Thanks!

It’s great thank.
